Mining Projects - Property Evaluation/Mineral Assessment

Geologic Assessments  back

Client:  Hexagon Resources, Flagstaff, Arizona

Project:  Crown King, Arizona
An assessment was required of Patented and Unpatented Mining Properties: Crown King, Tiger, Peck and Curtin Mines near Crown King, Arizona.  The properties were acquired for an exploration and development project.

Solution:  The project was a full review and reassessment of the various mining properties covering an area approximately 5 miles wide by 12 miles long.  An initial environmental assessment (Phase I EA) was conducted to identify current environmental concerns.  It required a complete review and attainment of historical record going back to the 1880s through the 1990s.  The records included historical drilling and core data, assay and chemical reports, geologic mapping confirmation, property corner location and confirmation, real property checking of the surrounding area, groundwater source review, and wildlife status of a designated protected area (NEPA).  Additionally, mine development materials were detailed for the necessary steps to be taken in the environmental process for developing a mine, the agencies involved and associated fees, and the best-case timeline for doing the permit work/studies and getting agency approval.  Reclamation of existing mine dumps and storm water designs were part of the overall project.
